The National Chairman of Labour Party (LP), Alhaji Abdulkadir Abdulsalam, is dead.

The National Publicity Secretary of Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), which is the body of all registered political parties in the country, Major Agbo, confirmed the development to our reporter in a text message.

A former IPAC chairman, Dr Yunusa Tanko in a text message also said, “Yes we lost him this morning.”

“As we speak, they are on the way for his burial,” he said.

“Information on ground states that burial rites will start at the Central Mosque Minna, by 5pm. And internment will follow immediately.

“We urge all comrades in and around Minna, to kindly join all faithfuls to escort this galant soldier to his resting place,” he added.
