A 27-year-old man, Musubahu Shehu, was on Tuesday docked in an Ojo Magistrates’ Court in Lagos, for allegedly stealing nylon bags valued at N520,00 from a market place.
Shehu is standing trial before Magistrate Funke Ogun, on a one-count charge of stealing, the offence he pleaded not guilty to.
The prosecutor, Insp. Esther Adesulu, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on April 1 at the Alaba Rago market in Ojo.
Adesulu said that the defendant allegedly stole quantities of nylon bags valued at N520, 000, belonging to one Mr Ashiru Lawal, the complainant at the market.
The magistrategranted the defendant bail in the sum of N300, 000 with two responsible sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case until May 13, for mention. (NAN)
