Fintech firm, Opay Digital Services, has rewarded four winners who participated at the ongoing weekly 7-security vote challenge with a million each, summing a total of N4m.

The winners; Udeng Etudo, Akindele Boluwatife, Wedopetwinz and Temitope Akinotan were announced after being adjudged with the most viral contents during the first Grand Prize Giveaway held at the headquarters in Lagos.

Speaking at the event, the firm’s Enterprise Marketing Manager, Oluwaseun Imade, expressed the firm’s commitment to combat fraudulent activities, saying the vote challenge was designed to raise awareness of the seven in-app security features.

According to her, the seven in-app security features includes; Scam Alert, Night Guard, Large Transaction Shield, Online Subscription Control, USSD Lock, Large Transaction Double Check, and Emergency Lock.

“OPay mission has always been to make financial services more inclusive through technology and key in our values has always been to put users first.

“It is why the 7 security features were built and also why we decided to bring it full circle by asking users to vote for which feature is their favourite and win cool prizes along the way. We are not just rewarding participation, we are also shaping a safer digital environment for millions of Nigerians,” she said.

One of the winners, Boluwatife, celebrated for her viral Instagram post, said the campaign has deepened her trust in the brand.

“I won in the second week of the campaign, and in the third week, I helped about 15 more people make their videos. Four of those people won! It’s good to see OPay keep to their word,” she said.

Also, Etudo, whose video gained reaction on TikTok with his entry, expressed his appreciation, saying he did not believe he could win in the challenge.

“When I joined the challenge, I didn’t even think I would win. Seeing my video go viral and then winning is unbelievable,” he said.
