A pastor’s wife, Rebecca Falade, has been arrested and charged with assaulting three children belonging to her landlady.
The incident reportedly took place at their residence on Ifelodun Street, Baba Oba Bus Stop, in the Idimu area of Lagos.
According to police prosecutor, Inspector Simeon Njue, Falade, an Evangelist, allegedly assaulted the children—identified as Damilola Adenikan, Akinola Adenikan, and Success Adenikan—after they were seen riding a bicycle.
Njue told the court that the assault occurred on July 16, 2025, around 3 pm.

In addition to flogging the children, Falade is accused of damaging their bicycle, throwing it away, and challenging the landlady and her family.
The case, which was initially reported at the Idimu Police Station, was later transferred to the Gender Unit at the Command Headquarters in Ikeja.
Falade was arraigned on a two-count charge of assault and wilful destruction of property, to which she pleaded not guilty.
Chief Magistrate T.A. Popoola granted Falade bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties.
The case has been adjourned until August 25, 2025.
