The corpse of former Inspector-General of Police, Solomon Arase, has been flown to Benin, Edo State capital, ahead of his funeral rites.

Arase died on August 31, 2025, at Cedercrest Hospital, Abuja, after a brief illness.

Last week, a memorial service was held in his honour in Abuja, and on Saturday, the Nigerian Air Force flew his remains to the Edo capital for the final rites.
