Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have arrested 10 suspected drug peddlers in the state.
The suspects were arrested following a raid on a hotel where they were allegedly carrying out their drug-peddling activities.
The State Commissioner of Police, Abaniwonda Olufemi, said the suspects were arrested by the police in collaboration with local hunters.
He said the security team, led by SP Danyaya Yunusa, acting on credible intelligence, stormed a hotel situated along the Asaba-Benin Expressway, Agbor, Delta State, and arrested the suspects.
He noted that the suspects include one Markwuye Peter of Ifeanchukwu Street, Agbor, who was identified as the owner of the hotel.
He said a substantial quantity of illicit drugs was recovered during the operation.
He added that the suspects are currently in custody, while discreet investigations have commenced to unravel the full extent of their criminal activities.
He urged members of the public to remain vigilant and continue to support the command with credible information, assuring them of a swift response.
