The Minister of State for Science and Technology, Mohammed Abdullahi, yesterday said the recent crisis across Nigeria exposed the coordinated attacks on sensitive government databases.
Speaking at the quarterly management meeting of the ministry on Wednesday in Abuja, he said it was high time Nigeria prioritized cybercrime and security.

Abdullahi urged staff of the ministry and its agencies to improve upon their research capacity so as to achieve their mandate.
He enjoined the management of the ministry and her agencies to ensure that their activities fall in line with the ministry’s mandate to ensure all-round development for Nigerians.
The Minister of Science and Technology, Ogbonnaya Onu, charged scientists working in all its agencies to come up with technological innovation in order to create employment opportunities for Nigerian youths.
He said the creation of more wealth and employment opportunities would productively engage the youths, thereby dousing their dependency to resort to protest in expressing their grievances
