Richarlison was Tottenham’s saviour with a last-minute goal in the London club’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.
The Brazilian striker was a thorn in the flesh of Liverpool’s defence and eventually got the goal his performance deserved to provide some respite for off-form Tottenham.
Both clubs lost in the UCL in midweek and fielded a cautious line-up in the matchday 30 fixture, with Liverpool dropping both Mohamed Salah and Hugo Ekitike to the bench, while Xavi Simmons was also benched for Spurs.
Dominik Szobszlai put Liverpool ahead on 18 minutes, netting a 25-yard free kick for 1-0, his club record fourth direct free kick goal of the season.

Igor Tudor’s visitors continued to plug away at the Reds and created chances, Richarlison headers were saved by Alisson, while Xavi Simmons also tested the goalkeeper.
The breakthrough eventually arrived on 90 minutes, a poor Andy Robertson header fell to Randal Kolo Muani who set up Richarlison to slot home the equalizer that claimed a precious point for Spurs.
The draw ended Tottenham’s run of five consecutive league defeats, and they move up to 16th place on the EPL log, while Liverpool remain in fifth place, two points away from Aston Villa in fourth.
