The Commandant of the Nigeria Hunters And Forest Security Service (NHFSS) in Kwali Area Council, Usman Abubakar, has disclosed that constant deployment of his men to some identified forests being used by kidnappers as their hideouts has been taming incessant cases of kidnapping across the council.

Abubakar, who spoke with our reporter on Thursday, said the service has been moving into hinterland and thick forests to search kidnappers from their hideouts, which he said has made it difficult for them to strike any community in the council.

He said each member of the service had been provided with motorcycle and locally made firearms, adding that they have been patrolling day and night in the forest to ensure that the kidnappers don’t settle to strike.

He recalled how members of the service dislodged some kidnappers from two identified hideouts around some villages in the area, even as he said the service had always worked in synergy with other security agencies in the area.
