The Adamawa State Government, through the Adamawa Pilgrims Welfare Commission, has secured accommodation in three hotels in Makkah for over 1,000 pilgrims from the state participating in the 2026 Hajj exercise.
According to officials, the pilgrims are being well catered for and comfortably housed in high-quality hotel facilities as part of arrangements made to ensure a smooth and organised pilgrimage.
Meanwhile, a viral video alleging that Adamawa pilgrims were left without accommodation for two days has been dismissed following investigations by relevant authorities.
The Nigerian Embassy in Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, carried out on-the-spot verification and confirmed that the claims were false and misleading.

The National Hajj Commission and the Adamawa State Pilgrims Commission also conducted independent investigations which found the claim to be false
Sources further indicate that the Saudi authorities have invited the individual behind the video for questioning over the circulation of the content.
The Adamawa State Government reiterated its commitment to the welfare of pilgrims and commended the efforts of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in ensuring proper coordination and support for all intending pilgrims from the state.
