The Adamawa State Government, under the leadership of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has sustained the distribution of relief materials to victims of the July 27, 2025, flood disaster, which displaced some residents and caused damages to homes and livelihoods in some communities within Yola South Local Government Area.

In continuation of its humanitarian intervention, the government’s coordinated relief efforts involve both door-to-door deliveries to affected households and organized distribution at designated relief centers to ensure that no victim is left unattended. The distribution points include Aliyu Mustapha College, Ahmadu Ribadu College, Shagari Digital Hall, and Lamido Zubairu Hall, among others.

The relief items, which comprise food supplies, clothing, bedding, and essential household materials, are aimed at alleviating the suffering of the affected families and helping them rebuild their lives. The exercise was diligently coordinated and closely monitored by senior government officials in collaboration with humanitarian agencies, non-governmental organizations, and relevant state ministries to guarantee transparency, fairness, and efficiency.

Governor Fintiri reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to providing timely support to disaster victims, emphasizing that the welfare of citizens remains a top priority.
